Trekking S. Antão

Trekking around the spectacular mountains of Santo Antao is very pleasant and beautiful.
The landscapes are nice, people are very calm and friendly and the food is excellent.
Besides greenery and spectacular views of mountains and volcano's S. Antao also has a rich plantation that includes bananas, papaya, sugar cane etc.
During the week we explore the best and most beautiful of a 779 km wide network of trails. We are doing day hikes (25km) together with our local Caboverdian guides who have extensive knowledge of both the walks and the local culture. We will during hiking trip pick out the best and most suitable trails for the day and the season. There are many fine hiking trails of varying difficulty, The surface is mostly gravel and rock with elements of old stone steps. The walks are not so difficult, but require good fitness. Every day after the walks, we will stay comfortably in a small family hotel and enjoy the relaxation and last but not least the good food in the hotel restaurant and the beautiful sunset.
Tours includes: transfers, tour guide, accommodation in a basic comfort double room at a small 3-star hotel with breakfast, lunch/dinner.

Dia 1: Arrival at Cesaria Evora airport in S.Vicente, you will be picked up by our guide, who also take you to your hotel, arrival at the hotel you will be served a traditional welcome drink and will be served a hot meal lunch / dinner according to your arrival schedule.
Dia 2: Morning City & museum Tour, lunch ahead. After lunch, S.Vicente sightseeing ( Mindelo, Baia das Gatas, Monte Verde (774m) and Praia Grande . Dinner and a wonderful city walk back to the hotel.
Dia 3: After breakfast, departure to S.antao. Arrive S.antao transfere to Ribeira Grande stop at joão Alfonso Location specialized in sugar cane cultvo. Picnic in family residence, transport to Ponta do Sol and half board in small hotel.
Day 4: Santo Antão, walk from Church of Ponta do Sol:

Day 6: Santo Antão, Lombo branco PINHÃO walk:
Day 7: Santo Antao Travel to Sao. Vincent.
Transport of the new coastal road linking Ribeira Grande Porto Novo and ferry connections to Sao Vincent. Reception in the port of Mindelo and transfer to hotel in ½ pension scheme. Afternoon and evening free.
Day 8: Return to the origin.
Free time according to flight schedules, airport transfer and repatriation.
